Art Around the World (Ages 3 - 6 years old)

Sometimes you just don’t have the time to take the kids to the Calligraphy Museum in Tokyo, the Totem Pole exhibit in Alaska, or visit the Shadow Puppet Makers in Jog, Jakarta. That’s why artist Tod Mason is bringing them all here to Art Outside the Lines art program. This new course will introduce children to creativity from around the world. As we “travel “ across the globe we will study the indigenous artworks and the artists who create them. All this in preparation for making their own Totem Poles, ink paintings, tribal masks, Wayang puppets, and so much more. This class is a fantastic passport to learning and fun!

ART AROUND THE WORLD is a Drop-Off* Class available to children age 3 - 6 years old. *Signed Waiver and Information form required.

CLASS TIME: This class is not available Fall 2010

Emulating the Masters: A course for Young artists (Ages 4 - 8 years old)

All children are natural artists. In this fun and informative class, your child will explore the life and work of some of the world's greatest and most influential artists, Picasso, Van Gogh, Jackson Pollack, Georgia O'Keefe, among others and then create their own art using these artists as muses and guides. Students will use a variety of mediums, paint, pastel, watercolor, pencil, clay, and learn about line, color, texture and composition, all at an age appropriate and accessible level. This class is a wonderful way to instill a lifelong love of art and nurture and celebrate the artist in every child
